Three garden sculptures, which have so far been exhibited in our castle Lapidarium, will soon go to conservation.
These allegorical sculptures probably come from the bishop's gardens, from the times of investments and transformations of the complex, which was led by bishop Ignacy Krasicki, in the years 1767 - 1795.
They are made of Gotland sandstone, we do not know their author, but they present; Allegory of Summer from the cycle Four Seasons (female figure), Allegory of Fire from the cycle Elements (male figure), and this lying male figure is an image of Neptune.
After conservation, the sculptures will stand in the reconstructed bishop's gardens.
