This Thursday, December 18, 2014, the museum "Time Machine" will take us to Lidzbark Warmiński. "Lidzbark Time Vehicles" will be an excellent opportunity to talk about the castle of the Warmian bishops and the events that took place here. The implementation of three meetings – in December 2014 and January and March 2015 – is part of the project "Conservation and restoration of the fourteenth-century castle in Lidzbark Warmiński – pearls of Gothic architecture in Poland – ii stage" implemented thanks to the support provided from Norwegian and EEA funds from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, as well as national funds.
The meeting on December 18 will be entitled "From a wooden stronghold to a great castle – how the Lidzbark stronghold was built..." and will be devoted to the phenomenon of the Lidzbark castle – its construction history and the inspirations that may be associated with it.
The speaker of the first "Lidzbark Time Machine" will be dr hab. Jan Gancewski UWM in Olsztyn. The discussion will be attended by: Beata Błażejewicz-Holzhey – Museum in Lidzbark Warmiński and Marek Barański – poet, journalist of "Gazeta Olsztyńska".
